How It All Began

I started pouring candles in our kitchen here in Mint Hill, North Carolina, back in 2022. A good friend from church offered to teach me, and I loved learning how. Our family already loved candles, and I've always loved to cook, and blending a scent turned out to be a lot like working out a recipe.

For a while the kitchen counter was the whole operation. Then I ran out of counter.

We slowly renovated a shed behind our house into a candle shop. The drywall went up (not by us, thankfully), our four kids helped with the painting, and we picked a color that keeps it feeling airy. Now I pour everything in there by hand, in small batches.

Clean Ingredients

It is important to me that every candle burns safely and cleanly. So I take pains to use only all-natural organic soy wax, and fragrances free from phthalates, carcinogens, and reproductive toxins.

Every Scent Tells a Story

Ten scents stay in stock year-round, and each one is named after a family story. Mint Hill is our hometown; Pere Marquette is our favorite beach on Lake Michigan; Coffee Date is something Barry and I try and steal away to often; and Pacific Northwest reminds us of hiking through Mount Rainier.

Then, once a season, I make a limited-edition scent. I love pairing art with these and have enjoyed many seasons partnering with my good friend and local artist, Caroline Greb. Her work is stunningly beautiful and pairs perfectly every time.

You could buy your candles anywhere, but I'm so glad you've chosen to trust me to warm your home. I hope you love them as much as I do.

Warmly,
Sarah
